Just kidding, I'm not still singing Christmas songs. I promise. October through January was full of enough Christmas music to last the year, even more me. For the past 3 years, Nhan and I have hosted our residency program's annual Unofficial Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Cramming 30-40 residents into our house for a potluck, fun holiday drinks, white elephant, christmas karaoke and the whole shebang leaves us swearing off hosting ever again, yet somehow when Christmas rolls around the following year, we never learn our lesson. And what is a party at the Vuongs' without a dessert spread? Last year, we did a Smore's Bar, but this year we decided to do a little less fire, a little more snow--Winter Wonderland to be more specific.

Boy it has been a ridiculously busy Fall and Winter. Between residency interview season and the holidays, time has flown by---I can't believe Christmas is already gone and we are only 2 days away from 2017. Well, just as fast as this season has passed, it feels like just yesterday that Dulce and Luis hosted their Little Man baby shower. Yep, that's right! Their little man is now one! Sweet, adorable, and stylish, he makes everybody want one just like him (and since you're probably wondering right now, no, we're not there yet 😉). And of course, another Rodriguez party means incredible style and decor. Dulce worked her magic again--this time with a woodlands theme. Check out that pallet backboard they put together! I was enlisted to help with the dessert spread (cupcakes and cake-pops).

A DIY Baby Shower: Little Man

I recently had the pleasure of helping my friends plan their first baby shower, and by plan I mean bake :]. Dulce and her cousins created out of this world decorations. I can truly say that Dulce is my crafty counterpart. As much as I love to bake and craft, this girl loves to design and decorate. Together we make the perfect party planning duo. From pom-poms, to streamers, and even down to the little cupcake liners and cupcake toppers, she thought of everything. Get your mustaches and bowties on because this little man is ready to party!
